Today is my 13th wedding anniversary. I married Scott Moore on March 22, 1997 in Stafford, VA. I love you Scott and am so thankful for you in my life! Although so much has happened in 13 years – it’s hard to image that it’s been that long! So in honor of the thirteen years, I thought I’d write a blog including my favorite things about Scott & some of our favorite things together:
- I love our long discussions. Scott is insightful and I appreciate that he values my opinion. His commitment to communicate also has helped us through many disagreements!
- Our favorite TV show is LOST. I love watching movies & TV shows with him. Since Scott is a video producer, he notices all the little details that symbolize so much. He has made me an active viewer and we are obnoxious to watch TV with.
- I enjoy his sense of humor… most of the time. (hahaha!)
- He challenges me creatively. I would not be the photographer, artist, designer that I am today if it wasn’t for Scott! When we got married, I didn’t realize our creative worlds would overlap so much. It’s fun to collaborate, encourage and constructively challenge each other. And one of our favorite times of the year in Halloween because we get to be extra creative with our family costumes!
- We love exploring together: from riding bikes at the beach to taking spontaneous road trips to documenting our journey of Guatemala.
- Our favorite restaurant is Saffires (Franklin, TN). Hands down, this is our top choice! We enjoy the atmosphere, the service and the food.
- I love how he engages with our boys – playing video games, wrestling, talking and snuggling.
- I love the sweet notes he writes me. I’ve kept all the cards he’s ever given to me.
- He encourages me to follow Christ and to serve others with my unique talents.
- Scott is passionate and driven and challenges me to reach higher! He pours himself into every project and relationship and expects the same from others.
- I love that he loves me and tells me often I am the most beautiful woman in the world.
- We love dancing to loud music, which he has titled “7 minutes of funk!”
- AND I love that I get to spend my life hugging him!

I love you guys and could definitely make my top 13 things I love about the two of you as a couple and as parents. Your love for each other is so obvious to anyone that knows you. Thank you both for being you and for the two beautiful boys you’ve brought into our family.

I knew your all’s anniversary was some time in March because Kate’s, Mydad’s and my birthday are all in March, too!!!
Congratulations! I love you two and I love you TOGETHER. I TOTALLY LOVE how that love together has expanded into this love for your FAMIlY! Those are two wonderful boys!!!
What a divine gift you have been blessed with to have each other!
Tom and I always enjoy being around you because you seem to truly appreciate each other like Tom and I do our relationship and the way you share with your children is how we try to, too.
I miss you guys but always know that aren’t that far a way and I can check in on Facbook every now and then and can see that you are doing great! That always makes the Austins very happy!
