A Romantic Farm Wedding

In September, I had the opportunity to be spontaneous and travel to PA to shoot Matt & Betsy’s romantic farm wedding on Betsy’s family’s farmland. Several family members, including Krystal & Kyle (who is Betsy’s cousin) were married at the farm. The couple wanted the celebration to be very personal. Some of those details and activities included: pottery made by Matt, the bouquet made by Betsy, the reception entry on a refurbished two-seater bike owned by a grandparent,  the bride & groom serving home-made desserts with ice cream, wine stomping by the bride & groom & guests (at the reception) and leisure yard games to allow people to relax and connect. There are so many GREAT photos! I LOVED their bright, sunny colors; The grounds were gorgeous; They were married in front of corn field; The ceremony was a beautiful Christ-honoring dedication with charges from the parents, music by the siblings and a large beautiful cross at the front of the alter; The reception included a precious time of verbal encouragement from the guests. And although it was a breezy, cool fall day, there was a lot of warmth from the guests, fire pits surrounding the grounds and LOTS of kisses from the couple. But my favorite photos are really of the couple, so here are a few… and a slide show of more below (thank you to Krystal Mann for putting this together).

Now, I love being spontaneous (a personality trait I had to learn from my husband)… but I don’t have much opportunity these days with two boys AND the fact that weddings are booked so far in advance. But Krystal’s little guy was born several weeks early, so I got a call the week of this wedding to step in for Krystal. Megan joined me in PA and we had so much fun shooting together again. It was an extreme privilege to be a part of the celebration! Matt & Betsy, it is evident that your love for each other and your family is sincere and precious. I pray that you will experience this love in new and fresh ways each year you celebrate your marriage. God Bless!
