Sweet Infant Session

This sweet session was so fun and peaceful! Kayla made these gorgeous accessories for her (in photos #3 & #5 below). I mean, girls, even infants need accessories! If you are considering an infant shoot, make sure you schedule your session within the first two weeks after their birth to capture sweet sleeping baby moments like these.

Sweet Eight-Month Photos

As I post this it’s snowing outside my window and these photos are totally making me wish it was fall again! Julia Kate enjoyed her 8-month session – wearing her tu-tu and playing in the leaves. I mean, seriously, look how cute she is!! This is her third photo session as part of my Baby Plan and it’s been super fun for me to watch and document her growth this year. I LOVE to photograph this age because they are so darn cute – they can sit up, explore a little, smile sweetly and love their mamas!

This post will definitely make you SMILE. This is Wade and he LOVED his photo session – can you tell? His parents are great friends… in fact his dad – Curtis – was our best man in our wedding. He’s been a great friend and I always enjoy being around him and his family. Thank you Curtis, Jenny and Wade for allowing me to capture your sweet family. I love you guys!

Summer Mini-Session

Ahh… summertime: drinking soda pop, jumping in the creek, venturing in the woods and hiding from the sun. Our summer mini-session was at the perfect summer location: creek-side and our families and kids LOVED it. And we did too. I put on some boots and jumped in! Spring Mini-Sessions

Nashville had a beautiful three weeks of spring weather this year. I honestly can’t remember it because it’s so hot right now. But fortunately, we scheduled our spring mini-session on a beautiful spring day! We had several families come out and enjoy the weather with us.

We always love to add a hand-made creative set to our mini-sessions. And this time we designed this beautiful paper garland wall. The idea was inspired by the very talented Shannon Sewell. We hung ours on a brick wall to add some more texture and fortunately the home owners had these beautiful spring “flowers” growing in the bed right in front to add another texture element and spring color! And a special THANK YOU to Emily & Brent Stewart for allowing us to use their beautiful yard for the mini-sessions.

And Kayla made flower wreath crowns which the girls were excited to wear. We featured a few new props – like these fun hats. These were Kayla’s “Derby” hats. What girl doesn’t like hats!? One of our families brought a hat for their son… and I absolutely LOVE these! We have been using this beautiful very vintage quilt. I LOVE the colors. We even hung it for Rachel’s senior photos.

Our mini sessions are always popular and a fun way to connect with new families and reconnect with other clients. I am truly honored to photograph your families and I know your photos will be treasured for a long time. We are totally booked for our upcoming summer session; but we will be announcing our fall session in September. The New Addition to the Lowery Family

These are photos from a sweet infant shoot. My favorite shots are always of the parents interacting with the new baby. I love watching parents hold, kiss and stare in wonder of the miracle! Siblings on the other hand … are usually a little more energetic to have an audience! And I always love to photograph the energetic star: as was the case here with the Lowery Family. But just like her parents, big sis, had to get a few kisses in. Enjoy!

Chuck Taylors and Little Ties are too cute!

I recently got to photograph this precious family. The boys in their little ties and Chuck Taylors – how cute! They remind me a lot of my boys – love to play outside, jumping competitions, determined, and sometimes a little bashful of the camera.

Sweet Hearts, Hugs & Kisses

I’ve been exited about posting these photos for awhile! These are part of Temple’s “My First Year Session” ending with her 18 month photos. It’s been so sweet to capture Temple’s precious milestones over the last year and half… and to photograph her beautiful family.
