Happy Graduation!

A cap and gown represent accomplishment, a step out and a step into a new adventure.  Micah, my oldest son, graduated from preschool 2 weeks ago.  And seeing him in a cap and gown make me think of where he will be the next time he wears one – on his way to college!  But for now, one step at a time … can’t believe he starts kindergarten in the fall!  Right now we are working on reading with him.  I love listening to him as he sounds out words.  I never cease to be amazed at how my little boys continue to learn all the time.  It is a joy to get to see!

Congratulations to all the new graduates of preschool, high school, college and all the in between!!!

New Seniors – we would love to be a part of your final year in school and capture this special moment, who you are, what you love, where you are going!  Click here to see our Senior Picture packages.

Embrace Session

Kendall and Kane have been married for 3 and 1/2 years, lived in NYC, and are now back in Nashville; she is an interior designer, he grew up a baseball player, and together they are a couple with so much love and admiration for each other. They are an example for the people they are around.  And a few weeks ago, we got to experience their relationship! We had the delightful privileged getting to see that during their Embrace Session and it definitely came through in their photos! we enjoyed venturing around the Nashville Farmer’s Market and Germantown to find some really cool location. Thank you Kendall and Kane for having so much fun with us!!

When asked why they wanted to take these photos, they said “It’s been about 3.5 years since our wedding, which were the last pictures we have had taken. It’s going to be a few more years before we have kids, and I don’t want all of these in-between years to go undocumented.“  Which is exactly why why do what we do!

A short note from Kendall:

We are so pleased with our photos! Amelia really captured our personalities, and the locations she scouted for us were perfect. We had a great time with her and her team. She spent a lot of time with us and I could tell how much she enjoys what she does. It’s amazing how much we’ve grown up in the four years since our wedding! Amelia’s pictures really reflect that.

Crazy spring for the Moore family

This spring flew by!  I am still catching up.  Over the next few weeks I will be posting snap shot blogs of “The Moore Family 2011 Spring”.  Here is a the first one.

Last year, my husband and I produced a full length documentary, Reparando, on the devastation and hope that is rising Guatemala. This spring we have been on the road screening the film in a variety of cities, attending film festivals and many meetings. Most of the trips we took the boys. We had so much fun. These photos are from our trip to Grand Rapids, MI.  Mixed into the screenings and meetings we had fun with chickens, on a ferris wheel, in mud puddles, and at parades.

Tita is a main character in the documentary.  She was able to join most of the Reparando tour.  It was wonderful getting to spend time with her.
